We looked at pool ladders for over a year and finally bought this one and have not regretted it. It has been installed now for 2 months and works so great. We have an above ground pool that is higher than the deck so we made stairs and attached the ladder to the stairs. It does not move and is very sturdy.
We bought this for our new above ground pool that is 54 inches deep. We built a deck around it which added apx 6 more inches to the height. We were able to drill holes through the deck and anchor this ladder so that it hit the bottom. Great purchase. Love the widths of the rungs. Good for old and young.
Really good ladder beats one that comes with pool hands down. Kids and wife love it. Only works if you pool has a deck about same height of pool side.
This is the 2nd summer using this. Good ladder, better than belly flopping out of pool. Based on reviews, I put a rubber tub mat underneath to avoid any holes. No holes yet. You do have to guide back straight every so often bc of waves having it drift, but its less than an inch, not a big deal.
This really is nice ladder.. the only thing is you have to put it several inches away for the side of your pool or I believe it would put a hole in it. Also, my husband took a rubber door mat and glued it to bottom of ladder with special glue. Again I think it would put a hole in bottom of pool. Everyone putting weight and pressure on it. But overall it is a great buy and worth it
This ladder is a direct replacement for an older ladder of the exact same model. The previous ladder lasted 7 years. During that time it was removed every winter and stored inside. The plastic flanges were replaced once and they are inexpensive. The mounting slots on the ladder finally cracked open this season so it was time to replace it. I use the plastic flanges and replace them when they crack since they are inexpensive. I solve the floating issue with the ladder by simply tilting the top slightly outward so air bubbles left in the backside crevices of the ladder can escape.
We have had this in our pool for a month. it works great. I had been looking for a heavy duty ladder to enter and exit my pool.
I had my first pool party with kids jumping in and playing in the pool I had put padding under the ladder just in case.
