Maytronics Dolphin Explorer E50 vs. Maytronics Dolphin Explorer E70

Maytronics Dolphin has two additions to their Explorer line of robotic pool cleaners. The  Dolphin Explorer E50 and the Dolphin Explorer E70 are both Wi-Fi enabled and are made with that beautiful and dependable craftsmanship that you’ve come to know and love from Maytronics.

Explorer E50 & E70 Differences at a Glance:

Explorer E50 & E70 Similarities:The Dolphin Explorer line is made up of robots that are easy to use, provide the deepest clean, and the most efficient operation on the market today. These Explorer robots are lightweight but make no mistake, they are workhorses, ready to get the job done while utilizing the latest technology and optimization.

A prominent feature of both the  Dolphin Explorer E50 and Dolphin Explorer E70 is the ability to connect them to the cloud using your home Wi-Fi connection. The newest MyDolphin Plus app allows you to remote control your Dolphin, setup cleaning programs, check operation status, receive proactive robot care tips, and more. The app is available on the Google Play Store and the AppStore.

The Explorer Series robots use Top Load Filtration with an extra-large filter basket. They can use either the XL Fine or Ultra-Fine baskets. Their dual scrubbing brushes and durable tracks generate friction that works to remove leaves, dirt, and debris on the floors, waterline, and walls as well. Sick of cords, loose cables, and hoses? Dolphins are “Plug’n Play” and rely on patented swivel technology that gets rid of any tangling while the robot is operating.

The entire Explorer line consumes an average of 5 cents of energy per hour and is more energy efficient than suction and pressure side cleaners 8 times over! Also, don’t forget about CleverClean Smart Navigation and PowerStream ensuring complete and total pool coverage. Gone are the days of random driving patterns and endless loops. The Explorer series has onboard intelligence that expertly maps out your pool for an expert clean.

Both the  E50 and E70 clean pools up to 50 feet in length. They both have cleaning cycles that can last either 1.5 hours, 2 hours, or 2.5 hours along with three cleaning modes including: Quick, Standard, and Enhanced. Both robots have Delay Mode and Pick Me Up Mode along with an LED light show.

Explorer E50 & E70 Differences:

There are several differences between the E50 and the E70 with the most prominent being the Warranty.  The E50 has a Full Warranty for 2 years while the E70 has a Full Warranty for 3 years. The E70 also uses a Dual Drive while the E50 only has a single drive motor. Both robots have a full filter basket indicator but the E70 has 5 levels on this indicator for different levels of debris. The E70 has a convenient water temperature sensor built into the app while the E50 does not have this feature. Also, a caddy is conveniently included with the E70 but is sold separately with the E50. A caddy cover would need to be purchased separately for all robots in the Dolphin Explorer line.
