We've only used this product 4 times, but we are impressed with the way it removes the silt on the bottom of the pool that our filtering system just filters back through. It also picks up leaves and debris like a charm. Unknown Jul 8 2019
I've happily used this vacuum 4 times so far, and look forward to using it all summer.
After the initial pool opening (which this vacuum is not designed for), I normally only have a little debris around the edge of the pool at the bottom each day, and from other reviews I knew this would do the trick for something so easy. However, the second time I took out this vacuum, I removed my solar cover to find a pool bottom layered with algae (a week of too much rain and an empty chlorinator). I read that it works for that too (with the finer filter bag), so I decided to give it a go...and it did a great job, pretty much taking a full 45 minutes of work to move across the entire pool floor slowly enough to not stir the algae up into clouds! Because it was so bad, I probably would have liked to run it another 5 minutes beyond when the battery ran out, but it got most of the algae in that time, and I knew I would have to make another go of it after a few hours anyway (after more settling). I waited the 4-hour time for the vacuum to charge, and came back to finish the job to happy results.
NOTE: Because the entire machine needs to be submerged whenever it is running, it does make it a bit trickier to handle the pool steps and the seating in the attached spa - where the water is too shallow to accommodate the height of the machine in a fully upright position. However, if you are willing to get into the water to change the angle of the machine, it works wonderfully - especially with the small hose/nozzle attachment. Of course, if you are not ready to get into the water, I did find that using the brush to move debris to a slightly deeper portion of the pool/spa first works as an easy alternative. Mike Jun 25 2019
I’ve recently purchased this and used it for spot cleaning. Didn’t really impress me on ledges, corners, or stairs. But it definitely sucks up larger debris. I get earthworms in my inground pool after every rain. This gets them all. My robot is hard to remove worms from the filter. This gets them in an easily cleaned bag and not my pool filter. Recently purchased the Volt FX-8Li cordless vac and it works just as advertised. Much more efficient for everyday pool cleaning chores than the hoses, etc., etc.! Hoping the performance long-term continues. Unknown Aug 16 2017
the cleaner works well in smaller areas.. the only concern is the handling of the cleaner with the long telescopic extension pole .. the deeper the pool the tougher the handling of the cleaner because of the length of the pole.
but not a concern that you shouldn't get it..
a great cleaner for in between robotic cleaning...
don't have to lug out the long hoses.. Unknown Jun 22 2017
I have used this Pool Blaster 3 times on one charge! Have to let it air dry completely before storing it. It works amazing!!! No more dragging that hose around the pool! Fast, easy, and thorough! Cathy Aug 28 2016
