Extension Collar For SP1080 Series Automatic Skimmers
The larger(bottom) diameter fits inside the bottom part of the skimmer. Press down until you are satisfied with the collar/lid which rests on top being at the same level as your pool deck. The collar has a slot around its rim that looks like it could fit the rim of the extension but I don't think it does. An instruction sheet(not included) could have clarified.
